West Texas trains
Author: KB5WK

And Sunday 10/19 over in Fort Worth Texas country westward. Caught a few special trains.

1) GECX 2024 west leads UP IDILBB-19 at Aledo TX, UP Baird sub.

2) BNSF7137-8044 west at Mustang Creek area east of Cresson TX on the FWWR Dublin sub

BNSF passenger train was in town this weekend running trips on the FWWR from Thursday to Sunday. It ran the 2014 Make-A-Wish train ride on Saturday.
They ran it twice on Sunday, and I was able to catch it on the first run around 2 pm, and then ran over to Aleado to catch the GECX demo.

I find it humorous to see one of GE's newest locomotives MUed to one of the oldest GE locomotives on the UP roster at this point.

Nothing funny about old and new units making dollars for UP. Earl is out...
