Western Railroad Discussion > 2 at Palmer Lake, CO today

Headed out on the joint line late this afternoon, though missed 2 of 5 southbounds, that were ahead of me, and last train as well, a UP merchandise which I wanted to get but couldn't get into position quickly enough.

Still, did shoot 2 coal loads at Palmer Lake, CO, with a touch of fall color left, and clean units on the point.

The 1st image shows BNSF 8592 rounding the curve at Palmer Lake, CO, late afternoon on Friday.

My plan was also to shoot BNSF 6302 at the same spot with a slightly different angle, but shadows quickly moved in, so I shot the train another 1/2 mile south of Palmer Lake.
