Nice stuff Jeff. All of those shots taken from the sunny side of the tracks and nicely exposed, executed and focused. You done Kansas proud!

Eric

I bet you used a tripod too!

Thanks, man. The only shots posted here using a tripod were the night shot and the motion blur one. The rest of the time, that was busy with video. AND, the last shot WAS shot towards the setting sun, but I was still pretty pleased with the result.

That one was funny though. We had called it off for the day, and then we saw "the smoke." OK, if we have to...

Here's some video from that same spot. Man, WHAT a sound.

Hey, check out the former Southern Pacific "Sunset Limited" "Audubon" dining car or "Pride of Texas" Coffee Shop! Not sure from the galley door which one it might be.

Kansas boy makes good! Great pictures. Thanks for the excellent coverage of the NW Arkansas rail scene in fall 2014. Do you have the date when the SD70ACe's were messed up? I guess I missed reading about the accident.

Thanks Larry!

Regarding the wreck, it happened just two weeks prior to our visit there, on Friday October 10th.

As per this thread ( http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,3561503 ), the #72 was already back in service as of Monday the 27th.

Thanks for the info! This was the only shot I managed of the car.
