More Cloudy Day Treasures

They say "when given lemons, make lemonade" I can't remember the last time when I've caught such a diverse bunch of trains. So strap yourselves in, here we go! Starting yesterday with the CSXT 5396 and the BNSF H-NTWGAL at CP GRAF in La Crosse WI. Next up was the BNSF 1021 with train H-EOLNTW rolling past the early construction phase of the new double track. Looking pretty nice in this morning's light, BNSF 890 awaits her call to duty.

Sitting on the "caboose track" in the BNSF North La Crosse was this power consist, CN-KCS-NS-CSXT, amazing! UP 5626 leads an east bound oil load past the bluffs on the east side of la Crosse and last the NS 7502 leads a train of empties west ward back to the Bakken oil fields.

Amtrak's Empire Builder slide into town behind the 72 looking like it encountered a bit of snow somewhere west of here. CP 280 was following the Builder with a multi-colored consist led by the CEFX 1038. Today's BNSF H-NTWGAL had another quite unique consist with the BNSF 733 leading a BNSF dash-2 and the NS 1069, shown here passing by Onalaska WI.

Following the NTWGAL was the BNSF 9457, a Chicago bound Vehicle train. Note the V train's racks were illuminated by the BNSF North Local and the BNSF 1408. Time to head across the River for a little CP action. CP 199 got the ball rolling with one of the stars from movie "Unstoppable", CP 9751 leading the way past Dakota MN.

Now the CP east bounds started to roll, CSXT 486 leads CP 470 towards La Crosse and beyond while the NS 1004 leads a CP 602 oil load through the "S" curve in Dakota (MN). Lastly in the waning light was UP train LT42 running with four EMDs. UP 1974 leads the charge as the train makes it's way for home in Adams WI. Have a GREAT weekend!

Wow, what a great bunch, it just keeps going. I'm starting to wonder if YOUR neighborhood is the best place in the country to be rail fanning!
