Western Railroad Discussion > My 1st dance with Miss KatyDate: 12/20/14 08:16 My 1st dance with Miss Katy Author: santafe199 Kathi & I were on a little tour of antique shops in the El Dorado-Augusta-Wichita area back in April of 2011. I somehow convinced her to let me show her the old Wichita Union Terminal building & grounds in downtown Wichita. I knew Santa Fe’s old 4-8-4 # 3768 & FP-45 #93 were now living there, but I wasn’t aware that UP’s Katy heritage unit was also on hand that weekend.
It was the very first time I saw Miss Katy up close and personal. It pays to be lucky once in a while… 1. UP 1988, the M-K-T heritage unit is on a short-term display at the Great Plains Transportation Museum in Wichita, KS on April 15, 2011. Thanks for looking!
