SP 293 for Business Train use
Author: obsessedfoamer

Its seems sometime between 1982 and 1986 SP 293 received a plate/placard with the Red Ball and Wing, and SP # on the side. Does anyone know roughly when this was done?

Don't remember if this was the exact car, but we did one on the LA Division late 1983 or early 1984 in preparation for the Olympics in Los Angeles. We used it to entertain SPRR guests, positioned with other business cars on the Santa Monica Branch near the Los Angeles Coliseum.

No 293 goes back to about 1973. Believe its SP number was 2356. Car was in the derailment of the Cascade in January, 1971 at Lakehead, CA. The ball and wing came on when the business car fleet was being revamped
