Iowa Trip Last Week . . .
Author: SCKP187

A few from a trip to visit relatives, then skirting around the state to record the many different roads and depots.
1. Iowa Northern making some switching moves at the CN yard Waterloo IA.
2. NS 1070 Wabash Heritage Unit resting at IAIS Locomotive Facility South Amana IA.
3 & 4. IAIS 510 & 500 hitting the diamond at the iconic Rock Island depot Grinnell IA.
Still havn't seen the sun since November. Photos December 19 & 20 2014. Thanks for looking.

Neat stuff! Looks like a fun trip, hopefully I'll find some time to get up to Iowa Interstate soon

Nice pictures Brian! I liked the heritage Wabash unit and the old depot at Grinnell, IA.

Brian;

Is the Grinnell depot vacant? It looks like the restaurant in it closed. Good pictures, sir! Very good departure from the monotony of BNSF/UP, etc.

Train is going over the UP, ex-C&NW, exx-M&SL. I believe that was originally the M&SL main line between the Twin Cities and Peoria.
