BNSF OCS in Chicagoland
Author: Mastadon

This morning a BNSF business train was touring Chicagoland with an early morning departure from CP's Bensenville Yard. The nice clean SD70ACe and 4 cars departed shortly after daybreak and headed for IHB's Gibson Yard via the Elgin Sub and the Belt Railway of Chicago. After touring the area, the train will depart west for Topeka via the BNSF Chicago Subdivision to Galesburg and beyond via the Santa Fe. Scuttlebutt behind the tour was to look at the alternate routings around Chicagoland congestion.

I nabbed it at B12 interlocking at Franklin Park on CP's Elgin Subdivision minutes after sunrise. Then it was off to work.

Enjoy.
