Old US66 Open Between Ludlow and Amboy (Needles Sub)
Author: TheNavigator

The San Bernardino County Dept. of Public Works website no longer shows old US66 closed between Ludlow and Amboy. The website does still show old 66 closed east of Cadiz to Essex. (These sections of roadway are parallel to the BNSF Needles Sub, and were closed in September 2014 due to flash flooding having washed away the pavement in places as well as having damaged some road bridges.)

That's great news!

Here's a link to the info site if anyone wants to see it. That page has a map showing current closures. Click on the brown "Road Closures" link for the details. The details say 66 Ludlow-Amboy was reopened yesterday!
