Cajon Pass Railcam Coming Soon.
Author: msdgbar

From Virtual Railfan the fine folks that have brought us the Folkston Georgia and Tower 55 Railcams soon will have a new railcam at Cajon Pass California. I don't know where it will be located as of yet but I am sure and I hope it will be a great one. This will be a membership only railcam and I am sure it will be well worth it. I for one will be very exited to see it. Have fun. Stay safe and be very careful out there.

That is great news! We don't get new cams often, and Cajon is a prime spot. Look forward to more details.

Curious where it's installed. I would think around the motel and restaurants not far from Sullivan's curve, or...where else could it be?

So it's a subscription service but 1 of the 2 cameras doesn't work?

It was talked about a few days ago for the location in the chat forum and for the life of me can't remember the location.

On the current cameras. They have four total 3 at Folkston and 1 at Tower 55. On the camera not working it was located few blocks from the tracks looking down a city street towards the crossing. There is talk of moving this one.

It will not be on Cajon Pass but several miles east near the town of Hesperia. This is per one of the administrators of the website. Also said it would be in a location with two main tracks but that BNSF was going to be adding a third main through there.

Good info.

There's either a pretty picture Cam or the approaching-somewhere-so-somebody-can-get-a-photo Cam.

This is great news to hear. Is it at Virtualrailfan.com or net? How much will the subscription be to use it? I am not familiar with the Folkston camera either I suppose I should check that out as well. Thanks for posting about this and I will look forward to further updates.

Kurt.
