Two Long Trains with One Engine at Rogers, TX-Galveston
Author: texchief1

On February 6, 2015 I was shooting on BNSF's Galveston Sub at Rogers, TX and saw two long trains that had only one unit about an hour apart. One had a UP SD70M.
1 BNSF Dash 9-44CW 1078 is leading 80 empty auto racks and is SB. It is heading to Memphis and is going through Houston and on UP trackage rights
through Little Rock. It is 3:46pm and the train is approaching MP 206 and Rogers, TX on the Galveston Sub.
2. BNSF train UP SD70M 3849 has 110 empty grain hoppers and is heading to Garden City Kansas. I heard on the radio they were picking up a unit at
Temple, tX about 10 Miles a head. It is at MP 206 in Rogers, TX on the BNSF Galveston Sub at 4:30pm.

Thanks for looking.

The SP ran a lot of long trains wit a single engine. Nice photos by the way.
