Big trains...Big power
Author: pummer

After leaving Bakersfield, CA, I stopped at the Tehachapi Loop this morning and saw three trains in a half hour. Actually I was able to get all three in a single - albeit distant shot (not included). Then it was over to the Needles Sub. where the trains were plentiful. One train of note was a westbound grain train with nine locomotives in a 4-3-2 arrangement.

1. A long BNSF eastbound stack train circles the Loop.
2. BNSF westbound grain train climbing thru the curves at Siberia.
3. The grainer nearing the summit at Ash Hill.

Funny to me, cause CP would try to run that train 1x1 somehow. Good shots!
