Western Railroad Discussion > Big trains...Big powerDate: 03/03/15 19:59 Big trains...Big power Author: pummer After leaving Bakersfield, CA, I stopped at the Tehachapi Loop this morning and saw three trains in a half hour. Actually I was able to get all three in a single - albeit distant shot (not included). Then it was over to the Needles Sub. where the trains were plentiful. One train of note was a westbound grain train with nine locomotives in a 4-3-2 arrangement.
1. A long BNSF eastbound stack train circles the Loop. 2. BNSF westbound grain train climbing thru the curves at Siberia. 3. The grainer nearing the summit at Ash Hill. https://www.flickr.com/photos/pummer/ Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/03/15 20:00 by pummer.
