Racing Westbounds Through Ft. Madison
Author: SantaFe9820

I spent the afternoon of March 20th by the bridge in Ft. Madison enjoying the onslaught of traffic coming through in both directions- a total of 20 trains in about 2-and-a-half hours. Among the most interesting movements I saw was two westbounds racing each other across the Mississippi River. The two were neck-and-neck while rounding the curve at Niota, but by the time they got to Iowa, right side (I never got the train symbols) had quite the advantage. Sorry about the unstable shot, I panicked and filmed it using my monopod. I somehow managed to get through to the other side of town (withOUT speeding) and got to the bridge over Stockton yard before the two left the depot. Thanks for watching!

PS I'm not sure if it uploaded in a lower quality or if it's just my internet but if it's low-qual, sorry!
