Busy Day For A Tuesday On The BNSF

Today was a Blustery partly to mostly cloudy day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 58-42. It was a very blustery day with a cold front passing thru making it hard to stand still when taking pictures. Here are some of the many trains that passed thru the backyard and beyond.

1. WB 907am coal train with BNSF 9251-9375-8599 on the point with all EMD's and a DPU.
2. Another shot of same EMD power.
3. DPU BNSF 8417 also EMD.

4. WB 1130am grain train with BNSF 5395 on the very point with DPU at Bauman Rd., Ritzville, WA.
5. Same train ready to take the high green at signal 641.
6. DPU BNSF 7902 fading away towards downtown Ritzville.

7. WB 1153am coal train with Citirail 1411 and BNSF 9341-8553 on the pull with DPU.

9. DPU BNSF 5724 on same train with a whale on the last coal car.

10. EB 1209pm grain train with BNSF 7574-7579 on the point with a DPU.
11. EB 1249pm coal train with BNSF 6850 on the very point with DPU and a friendly wave from the hogger at Bauman Rd. Almost lost the shot with a gust of wind hitting as I snapped picture.
12. The End of same train looking toward CP W. Tokio.

13. WB 1259pm grain train with BNSF 7631 on the very point with DPU and lots of friendly toot-toots from the hogger. Train is between CP W. Tokio and Bauman Rd., Ritzville. Again almost lost picture due to a strong gust of wind as I snapped picture.
14. WB 137pm coal train with BNSF 8114-8242 on the pull with DPU and friendly toot-toot and wave from the hogger at the old US10 overpass at signal 661.
15. DPU 4419 fading away from signal 661 towards CP E. Essig.

16. EB 246am grain train with BNSF 5468-5420 and warbonnet 758 on the pull.
17. Warbonnet 758 on same train.
18. BNSF 489368 GN heritage hopper rolling in same train.

19. BNSF 488312 Colorado and Southern heritage hopper rolling in WB 319pm all Orange grain train.
20. EB 359am stack train with BNSF 6772-727 and CSX 7376 on the point.
21. Another shot of BNSF 727 and CSX 7376 on same stack train.

22. Green and cream 9720 on WB 412pm oil train is about to be hidden behind tree.
23. EB 444pm manifest train with BNSF 4310, CP 8879 and UP 8521 on the pull.
24. Another shot of same train.

Grain was certainly on the move today!

I agree, the CitiRail units make a nice leader as yours are pretty clean. Nice to see all the Heritage hoppers too.
