More CTC and other news
Author: pyroman

CTC now extends from La Crosse, WI to Desoto on the BNSF Aurora Sub now as the new switches were cut in on Tuesday and more searchlight came down.  Still waiting on US Army Corp for the permit to start work on the 2nd main in La Crosse.  Looks like the DNR permit prohibt major work from May throught July so fill work will not likely start there till late summer (also depending on some legal challenges).

And a article on the CP with citizens concerned for concrete briodges that are old.

Also thanks for the updates.

The article on the BNSF bridges seems to have been written before the current reconstruction got underway.
Have the media done a follow-up??  (Probably not because it wouldn't sell any papers.)  It occurs to me
that someone needs to call them and have them find out about the work at the Coon Creek site, which has
been going on for over six months.

Well then there is this from one of from another of the local "news". If they would have read the DNR reports and in this case this was mentioned in a report from last year before the DNR issued the permit (which again lists this and is the reason for no major constrructuin May-July) they would have known this.  My bet is they knew but are milking this out for more ratings or something...

More likely they don't think they can sell the followup.

Thanks for the link.
