Depot Friday: washing windows...
Author: santafe199

…the long “coma” is over!

The (ex) Santa Fe depot in Strong City, KS is showing signs of life! It lay dormant for years and for a long time predictions for its future were not very pretty! But the necessary arrangements have been made and restoration is already underway. Seeing a window-washer at work is certainly a happily reassuring sign…

2. Willy-the-Window-Washer is doing a great job, getting into all the corners!

3. BNSF 5851 drops by to look the scene over…

Thanks for having a future!

Holy Smokes, Fred! Close enough!!! That is one WAY cool photo. I'd heard about the old streetcar line between Strong City & Cottonwood Falls, but this is the first image I can remember seeing, Thanks! I'll make sure Mr. Gibson sees it...
