The engineer spotted the car in an accessible location, and cut away the rest of the train. The Flag fire department made a heads up decision about the presence of diesel fuel, batteries, perhaps propane, etc on board. That's good training and situational awareness. FFD responds to many varied types of calls in the N AZ region, and their Special Ops and Hazmat teams have some extraordinarily well-trained people on them.
