A Prototype for Everything

Lots of UP and BNSF maintenance work going on in the Feather River Canyon and on the BNSF Gateway Sub. There are "armies" of MofW crews everywhere and yesterday I could swear I passed (on CA Highway 70 near Keddie) a Nissan Xterra SUV lettered BNSF.

The current issue of Consumer Reports says that Nissan assembled 931,974 cars in the US last year, which puts them in 6th place behind Honda, Toyota, Fiat Chrysler, GM and Ford.
You may have seen a "Made in USA" car....
None of the cars sold in the US have more than 75% US content according to CU.
