BNSF field comfort station at Beatrice, Wa.
Author: JFArrFan

These high tech out houses are a common component of work trains these days.

This unnumbered unit is seen late in the afternoon at Beatrice, Washington on June 22, 2015.

That DANGER LIVE TRACK sign would tend to give pause to the casual observer.

Pretty much a necessity around Beatrice; trees and bushes are mighty scarce along that part of the Lakeside Sub.

I know there are no "jokers" working on the railroad these days but I could imagin some one going in there, groaning and grunting a bit and his friends, soon to be x-friends, give him a little nudge towards that long, long downhill grade, the only 3% grade in the division.  You know, the one they don't even consider going up without a couple of pushers.  The one that has the 15 MPH curve... on the trestle.  That would probably work better than Ex-Lax.  But I know.  None of you guys would ever consider doing that.  Naaaaw.  Not even on the radar.  That is, unless it was the boss.

OK,  I,m done here and I'm going put y name on here.  No jokes about that.

I wouldn't call it unnumbered...It's either #1 or #2!

Years ago, a trailer truck load of those was used for an event in Shafter, north of Bakersfield. When the event ended the truck headed for the company's yard in Bakersfield, and a very angry and embarassed man exited one of the biffies, not happy about his impromptu excursion...

Don't even think about going in an agricultural field or orchard!  With the well-publicized and expensive incidents of contaminated agricultural products getting consumers sick, farmers and ranchers do not want to see humans or animals relieving themselves on their land.

Has not been that many years ago and may still be done, like within the last ten years. Septic tank pumpers were allowed to spread liquid on wheat fields in Benton County WA.

Couldn't some of that Compressed NATURAL Gas actually be used to run the machines ? Not sure what type connection would be required from the source but the food input could easily be modified for maximum output. Saving the  world and all that, you know. As the newer generation would say :   "    Like. . . . . you know, man "           : )

That's what we call "Blue Rooms."  My friends say to me "taking a Blue Room break...", or "Blue Room callin'...".  We all get it, with grace.
