We're fresh out of oranges
Author: TTownTrains

I was wandering semi-aimlessly around BNSF's Cherokee sub east of Tulsa, OK on Wednesday and found a westbound mixed freight devoid of any BNSF power.  I never did hear a train ID, but it looks a bit like a GALTUL with the string of 2-bay hoppers up front.  The set of 3 engines was variations on ES44...one UP DC in front and two AC behind it belonging to CSXT and CN.  When I first saw the train at 1145, it was parked with lights off at mp 393.  About 4 hours later it had advanced into downtown Tulsa, and then was held short of 17th St before being allowed into Cherokee yard.

1.  Parked on main 1 about 4 miles east of Claremore, no signs of life.

2.  Crossing Elgin St in downtown Tulsa's quiet zone.  Note the 4 quad gates.

3,  Stopped short of 17th St, waiting for a parking place in Cherokee yard.

Check back later.  I'm sure we'll have more oranges soon.  :-)
