Quite an impressive station when one considers that Great Falls was not situated on Milwaukee's mainline.

Had their plans to build westward over Cadotte Pass to their branch out of Bonner to the mainline to Tacoma and eastward from Lewistown across northern Montana, Great Falls would have been on a transcontinental mainline.
