1. West side of the old Eagle Mine at west Belden Siding. 2. East side of the mine taken just outside of the tunnel. 3. Tunnel north/west of Belden Siding. We can only dream about seeing this line restored, but I am glad the rails are still in place. Doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Thanks for posting.

And how did that boulder wind up on the track in the middle of no-where-close to the mountain side ? And the official count now is what? 20 years dead or is it just 19?

Someone put the boulder there, although I'm not sure why. The line closed 18 years ago next month - August 23rd, 1997. |
