It was another scortcher in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 100-67. The traffic was fairly light today, maybe because of the Fourth, I did catch a BNSF Employees Special which caught me by surprise unfortunately. I'd just showered after 100 degree yard work and heard a whistle blowing and there was the special, had to quick shoot fast. Here are some of the trains from last evening and today. All Orange so far today.

1. WB 652pm grain train with BNSF 4653-4024 on the point with DPU.
2. WB 745pm manifest train with BNSF 6909-6588-7552-4600 on the pull.
3. Fireworks at Ritzville, WA which lasted a hour. Fun was had by all.

4. WB 1106am manifest train with BNSF 4470-4881 on the point .
5. EB 232pm Employee's Special train with BNSF Orange on the point with DPU. Had to quick shoot, train caught me by surprise.

7. The end of Employee's Special with BNSF 8362 as DPU.
8. WB 248pm grain train with BNSF 5092-1006 on the pull with DPU and some friendly toot-toots from the hogger.
9. WB 352pm grain train with BNSF 8264-4875 on the point with DPU.

10. EB 436pm grain train with BNSF 7888-4955-5666 on the point, no DPU.
11. WB 48pm oil train with BNSF 5070-4121 on the pull with DPU.
12. Old Conrail buffer car at the end of same oil train with DPU's.

Wow, that's a rare car...intc is for international service I am guessing...saw one on an oil train out of Canada a year or so ago.
