Very nice.. thanks for posting. At 90 MPH you had to time that just right.

Easy C, he probably got the direction wrong.

Its still a nice shot, regardless of timing/direction.

I think he may be talking about the schedule now vs. when you captured the shot.   I believe #4 is scheduled into Winslow very early in the morning currently.

Actually is there an easy access to get to the other side of the bridge though, since it's bad enough just getting over there off of I-40 no thanks to all those rocks, great shot anyway Super C and I know you had to time that right, those Amtrak Engineers love to fly!

Nice shot, at a great place, but that road into it is quite terrible, isn't it?  === === = === JLH

Hey I almost go there driving a 1988 Plymoth Sundance, and yeah I was careful with the rocks, most of the time using my brakes and letting her coast through the area!

A couple questions for Super C or anyone else familiar with the area:
• I see this is from the northwest side of the bridge. I can understand where on a summer morning that would be great light light. Is there reasonable access from the the east side of the bridge from Indian Route 6930? (Being from the rural Mountain West, I understand that a number designation doesn't confer any kind of maintenance.)
• What is the property ownership around the bridge?
• What was at the named location of "Canyon Diablo", east of the bridge? It looks like a large foundation for perhaps a ranch about 100 yards to the north of the tracks.

I appreciate any information offered.

Look up Two Guns, AZ on google lots of neat history of the surrounding area.

Its lies between Navajo Res, Private property (Ranch lands) and of course BNSF Railway.

I drove in there many years ago in a passenger car, had to go very slow.  But then, I've driven cars where most people couldn't roll a tire. 8>)

C, I have looked at your photo multiple times and it is really very nice especially for such a tough place to get to and photograph.
