Lotsa good stuff, Ted!  I miss that area a lot.   BTW, I camped at the state park right there at the Deschutes River.  Anyone know its name? I'm thinking of going back on a camping trip.

there is LaPine camp grounds and there is Cove Palisades Camp ground.
We try to stay at Boardman Marina Park about once a year. There is lots of UP action there.  Also camping sites 27 thru 30 really have great view across the Columbia watching BNSF and Amtrak action.

Great photos Ted. I remember some of our trips south over the Oregon Trunk to Bend. And also flying along the Columbia with 844, 3985  or the E's.

Great group, Ted.  I've been itching for a return to the Gorge this summer, since I haven't been since June last year.

That's a great group of pictures.  Thanks for sharing.  This kind of stuff reminds me of some of greatness of our country that you don't get to see from 30,000 feet.  It's been about 10 years since I've been through there but I remember it as some really nice country.
