Western Railroad Discussion > Joint Line a few days late . . .

.  .  .  this month along the joint UP BNSF Denver Pueblo Joint Line main there has been at least some variety, nothing compared to last year but we will take what we can get. Eleven days ago the near daily auto train that terminates at the old Santa Fe Big Lift facility fifteen miles south of Denver was in a 1x1 configuration with a nice CREX lease leader shown leaving Larkspur (top). A couple days ago two BNSF northbounds had KCS Belle leaders as excellently represented by SP8595 in an earlier post. I was only able to catch the first one in good light, the northbound coal empty, leaving Larkspur at a spot I have not tried before due to a pole line which is now gone (middle) and again approaching an overpass on the south side of Castle Rock (bottom).
