I knew Heineken was huge (and now owns brands you'd never connect with them, like Dos Equis, Newcastle, etc.), but never realized just how much they import. Makes sense, though - doesn't look like they actually brew anything in the US. Date: 08/03/15 12:02 Re: TOP 10 Importers USA 2014 Author: mapboy Another interesting list, thanks, Dale!
mapboy Date: 08/03/15 12:15 Re: TOP 10 Importers USA 2014 Author: jst3751 Dale, do bannanas still come in via bulk to Long Beach, or is that containerized now? I am talking about the ships that used to (still do?) unload at either Pier B, C or D on the Inner Harbor.
Date: 08/03/15 12:48 Re: TOP 10 Importers USA 2014 Author: mearsksealand I believe most banannas move by container--the Dole ship calls San Diego---I know at one time and it may still be banannas were unloaded at Port Huenume Dale Smith

I remember seeing what I thought was a Chaquita boat near the 710 which would have been pier B, C or D. That was back in the late 80's early 90's. Interesting stuff....... Date: 08/03/15 18:36 Re: TOP 10 Importers USA 2014 Author: up833 TEU equal 1ea 20' container but most containers are 40'. Therefore the actual number of containers is about half the TEU number..
Most of you know that already..maybe some new folks dont. Roger Beckett Date: 08/03/15 19:10 Re: TOP 10 Importers USA 2014 Author: BobE If the list went by tonnage, oil companies would be at the top of the ist.
