Western Railroad Discussion > CIT engine 6003 shows up on BNSF Fort Scott SubDate: 08/04/15 05:53 CIT engine 6003 shows up on BNSF Fort Scott Sub Author: JoCoLB A CIT Rail Resources locomotive, No. 6003, was positioned fourth in this BNSF Railway consist I observed on Monday afternoon on the Fort Scott Subdivision a short distance south of Olathe, Kan. The mixed manifest train had stopped just north of 175th Street, awaiting a green signal.
Wedged between the CIT engine unit and the BNSF leader were two CSX engines. The locomotives were BNSF 7378. CSXT 7563 and CSXT 7522. I understand CIT 6003 was formerly owned by the SOO Line. We've had several of the leased SD-60s in Denver recently... Anyone know how many of the SD-60 lease units BNSF has?
