Caught this pristine SD40-3 MPI-rebuild in the Nampa, Idaho UP yard this morning.
Looks like it's ready to head east to home rails.
I also caught a glimpse of two more CSX engines that are likely headed to MPI buried in the yard, but couldn't get a shot of them.

What level of rebuild are these locomotives having?

Just a 'general rebuild' - refresh engine, alternator, TM's etc or

Specific or targeted equipment up-dating?

I might have seen the two last Monday. Unit numbers are CSXT 4068 and 4066. Nampa Yard is a neat place to railfan.
