Western Railroad Discussion > WES RDC's on Portland & WesternDate: 08/28/15 07:38 WES RDC's on Portland & Western Author: nomosantafe The WES (Westside Express Service) commuter train between Beaverton and Wilsonville operated their RDC cars yesterday.They are used as backup for the WES DME units and are not used very often. I was able to get out and photgraph them in the morning and afternoon.
Here are the photos shot yesterday 8/27/15. 1. SB at Tualatin, OR passing under the Portland & Westen (former SP) line to Newberg 2. SB WES DME at Tonquin, OR 3. NB at Tonquin, OR passing the former Oregon Electric Substation Nomosantafe Enjoying Retirement (7 weeks and haven't missed working one minute) Portland, Oregon "Pacific wonderland" Edited 2 time(s). And thanks for putting them here on the Western board where us photography fans would likely appreciate them more than those who would rather argue over the state of passenger rail in the US on that other board.

My last day at work was July 10th, we packed up the house and left on July 15th and the house was sold and closed on July 27th. It'd be nice if TriMET does a "RDC Appreciation Day" so riders who want to ride it can plan a trip. Maybe pick a day somewhere around March 19? |
