Western Railroad Discussion > CNW 8701Date: 10/03/15 05:47 CNW 8701 Author: WLE2679 Hello-
I live in the east, but saw that that this unit was rumored to be stored in Houston in the near future.....is there any truth to that? Since this unit has mostly been in Chicago with the other dash 9 that will never be repainted, it seemed a little surprising. Both of the CNW units were overhauled at Jenks Shop 6 or 7 years ago. All the shop did after the overhauls was touch up the green and yellow. Don't believe it? Look at the color of the roof hatches on the exCXNW Dash 9's and AC4400's that got overhauled and patched, but not painted.
