How are you getting the sound without the whirring of the drone?

Syscom,
Crawford Hill is located about 5 miles south east of Crawford, Nebraska (NE) between Alliance, Nebraska milepost 365 and Edgemont, South Dakota milepost 476 along BNSF's Powder River Division, Butte Subdivision.  Latitude 42°35'39.79"N and Longitude 103°20'53.69"W.

Curt and I railfanned between Crawford, NE milepost 422 and Belmont, NE milepost 409.  We stayed in Ponderosa Ranch's Ranch House for 3 nights, Thu-Sat, 9/24-9/26 checking out Sunday 9/27.  I hope this info helps you out.

tomstp,
I dubbed in the audio for the drone footage.  The audio was recorded from my camcorder and Curt's camcorder.

Awesome!  Looks beautiful out there as always.   I've always enjoyed those joint UP/BNSF Jeffrey, KS coal trains (though I hated catching them as a conductor because UP's motors are terrible!).  ;)

Kudos George and Curt! Your getting your flying down to a fine art. Nice catch on the helper set.

Good stuff, George.  First time I've seen mixed power, UP head end, BNSF DPU, on any train.  I checked in
the afternoon after you left.  Monday, the weather turned cloudy and stayed that way for the next four days, although
I only stayed at the Ponderosa one night. I did get some sunny stuff Sunday.

Thanks for posting.

Instant response would have been "You don't know where Crawford Hill is????" .  But as we  continue to note over and over and over again, we don't all know everything.  You just keep asking those questions!  I do the same thing for those areas I don't recognize, many of which are California locations.  Anyway, once you visit the area, you won't forget it!

I agree with Rob: "...you won't forget it!" I was there for three times and has a long way from Berlin, Germany.
Crawford is definitively one of the ten-must-to-see railfan attractions in the US.
