Where's Ritzville?

There have been no recent photos from Ritzville.  Wonder what he's up to?

Why the world famous "Ritzville Report" of course!  Though you knew!  Ritzville almost daily would show photos of the BNSF comings and goings in and out of the Pacific Northwest, from his backyard and nearby locations at Ritzville, WA.

I wondered about that a few days ago, so I went back to his last posting. He mentioned then that he probably wouldn't be posting anything until the 20th. He didn't specify why, but I see someone else mentioned that he has gone to California.
But, like many others here, I do miss his photos and commentary!
I have chatted with him a little via PM .... he sounds like a really great guy!

Seems like he could have set something up to post the same picture every day then nobody would have noticed he had left for a few days..LoL ..Bet he's a Great Guy..

Ritzville is a great guy. I think he is on vaction. I have not seen him out taking pictures. He has helped at least one if not more crews out by giving rides and what not out there.

Count me in as other one who misses his daily posts. Larry, I hope you're having a great vacation and look forward to more "Ritzville Reports" in the future.

What Ritzville does is important and appreciated.

I can look at his posts and get an idea if there might be something interesting headed my way on the Oregon Trunk.
Most importantly he provides an overall context of what is moving on BNSF in the Ritzville area.
He provides an excellent record what is moving during the daylight near is home.

Hats off to Ritz and enjoy the time off with the family.

Mike

I enjoy his posts, too.  I was wondering if he could provide train symbols in addition to the unit numbers.  Does ATCS show train symbols?

...Don't forget the smoke from the fires, in mid to late summer, as much of an annual staple as the wind or heat.
I believe there is (or was) a sign on the outskirts of Ritzville reading, "Welcome to Ritzville. Drop on in, Mt. St. Helens did!"
Gotta say, Ritz's photos are better quality, and his posts more consistent than some webcams out there. The updates are appreciated.
