Harry Wong posed a question to those of us in attendance at the BAPM meet a few years ago about standard cab EMD units that retained the full Espee llight package.  The only one anyone could come up with was the Cotton Belt GP30 in Pine Bluff ( even though it isn't technically a "standard cab" and it's SSW).  So what you guys have done with the 7457 might be the only true Espee light package on a low nose EMD in existence!  Well done guys!!

The nose looks fantastic.  Will the rest get paint too?

Maybe it's original number as SP's first SD45 #8800 ?

Outstanding job Chris.  When you combine this, with what you've done to the nose of D&RGW 5371, you really have made great progress.  Keep up the good work.

Nice approach. Showing potential is great for PR. Love that fresh Scarlet! And the stripes are very nice too.

So Chris, I hope that sometime in the future that AMT 231 regains her
original colors, and we get to see you behind the throttle!

Why did you remove the yellow beacon?  Nice job though.  Thanks for sharing.

My first thought on seeing the first pic was "Get rid of that beacon!"  Definitely not original.  I like the second picture version.
