Western Railroad Discussion > What a Difference Another Day MakesDate: 11/24/15 15:59 What a Difference Another Day Makes Author: Ritzville In three days we have gone from bright sunshine to frozen fog and now to our first snow in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 35-25 and 1 inch of snow. Traffic today was fairly light with several gaps. It was hard to drive and walk around with snow, especially when it was slushy. Here are some of the trains I was able to catch in the backyard.
1. I woke up to this pretty scene with about 10 minutes of light sun and that was it for the sun today, lol. 2. EB 1147am manifest train with BNSF 7807-6583-6502 on the point. 3. Another going away shot of same train. Date: 11/24/15 16:06 Re: What a Difference Another Day Makes Author: Ritzville 4. DPU BNSF 5455 fading away on same manifest train.
5. EB 1244pm "Z" train with a BNSF Orange Blast on the pull. 6. WB 102pm oil train with BNSF 9074-7141 on the point with DPU's and a friendly wave from the hogger. Nice sounding 5-chime on 9074. Date: 11/24/15 16:13 Re: What a Difference Another Day Makes Author: Ritzville 7. DPU's BNSF 4339-6286 on same oil train.
8. EB 240pm manifest train with BNSF Orange Blast on the point with UP 4262 also in the head-end mix. 9. The End of same train with cars of lumber(sticks) fading away. Date: 11/24/15 16:27 Re: What a Difference Another Day Makes Author: Ritzville 10. WB 256pm grain train with BNSF 6810 on the very point with NS 9320 also in the mix and friendly toot-toots from the hogger.
11. Another shot of NS 9320 in same train. A few pictures from California trip taken on Oct. 21, 2015 last day of trip, almost home. 12. WB 135pm oil train with BNSF 8034-4197 on the pull along the Columbia River East of Roosevelt, WA on WA hwy 14. Date: 11/24/15 16:34 Re: What a Difference Another Day Makes Author: Ritzville 13. WB 143pm grain train with BNSF 4444 on the very point on approach East of Roosevelt, WA at MP162 on the Falbridge Sub.
14. A closer picture of same train at MP162 on the Falbridge Sub. That's it for this first snow day! Hope everyone has a great evening and tomorrow! Thanks so much for looking! It's nice to hangout by the museum and seee the rail traffic. Neat little town.
