A KYLE Happy Thanksgiving . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

.   .   .   arrived in Goodland, KS yesterday afternoon from the neighborhood in CO to spend Thanksgiving with father in law. A couple hours later after dinner noticed KYLE had arrived from the east tying the train down on the exRock Island main. Was supposed to snow today and was hoping for a snow shot but only wind cold and ice.  So here sits the train still tied down where it will be until tomorrow before heading west on it's twice weekly slow trek to Limon and back. Unlike many railroaders on this Thanksgiving Day looks like the crew will be enjoying the day at home with friends and family. Happy Thanksgiving.

Goodland in the real Kyle days used to be a hopping place, sending locals both West and East
during grain season. All of the interesting stored power lived there as well, nice luck on the shot,
last three times through there I've seen nothing. And to the weather, yah, in Eastern Nebraska
the 3 inches of snow turned out to be .3 inches.

Nice catch, JB. Only about 1 inch or so here.
