It was a beautiful cold sunny day on this Thanksgiving Day in Ritzville, WA with a high-low of 35-19. Traffic was light this morning and is starting to pick up after 300pm. Here are just a few samplings of what rolled by the backyard today.

1. EB 1001am manifest train with BNSF 5139, KCS 3998 and BNSF 6627 on the point.
2. WB 1217pm "Z" train with BNSF 6991 on the very point.
3. EB 1232pm coal train with BNSF 6416-5932-6393 on the pull with DPU.

4. DPU BNSF 8417 on same coal train.
5. EB 106pm manifest train with BNSF 9033, green and cream 9729 and BNSF 9066 on the pull.
6. WB 225pm coal train with BNSF 9120 on the very point with DPU BNSF 9186 all EMD's.

7. EB 243pm grain train with BNSF 7344 and CREX 1415 on the point, no DPU.

The snow, while not real heavy, adds a nice wintry touch. Down here in Texas, we are expecing some El Nino-related heavy rains although, thankfully, not nearly as cold as Ritzville.
