Western Railroad Discussion > Intermodal train overtakes BNSF Boeing trainDate: 05/03/16 08:03 Intermodal train overtakes BNSF Boeing train Author: JoCoLB While doing some train watching on the BNSF Railway's Emporia Sub. at Gardner, Kan., on Saturday, I happened to catch an intermodal train overtaking a stopped Boeing fuselage train.
The eastbound Boeing train, with only one fuselage and an idler car, was caught by a red signal on Main Two at 12:40 p.m. About 4 minutes later, an eastbound intermodal exited the nearby Logistics Park Kansas City intermodal center on Main Three and was given a high green to proceed to Kansas City in front of the Boeing shipment. The Boeing train wasn't delayed too long. The high/wide load train departed town at 12:54 p.m. Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 05/03/16 08:20 by JoCoLB. Ed Date: 05/03/16 18:08 Re: Intermodal train overtakes BNSF Boeing train Author: a737flyer Two emergency exits...probably an 800 or 900. I flew the 700 and it just didn't seem that long...but then again, I "graduated" in 2003.
Actually, I checked some photos, and the 700ER has one exit so 800 and 900 have 2. Lot of good memories if I could remember them! Posted from Android Edited 1 time(s). It would probably arrive faster than my last flight.
