Western Railroad Discussion > Varied orange BNSF pairs from Sunday

I spent a little time last Sunday morning in the Cajon area and even though the trains were run of the mill, the weather was stellar. Recently, it seems like the BNSF has been running a lot of stack trains using pairs of engines up front and also as DPU's, here are a few examples.

1) I caught up with BNSF Tier-4 GE 3851 sporting small lettering and Heritage-2 4176 climbing Main track 1 through Pine Lodge, shortly after 7AM.
 
2) Over at Sullivan's Curve another pair, BNSF 5297 and 7872 on a westbound stack. Thanks to whoever turned the K-rail (even with the first car) parallel to the tracks, vastly improving the photo opportunity.

3) The rear DPU's of the 5297 going away featured another H-2 GE 5112 along with 6897, beneath the familiar Sullivan's backdrop.

After a few more trains, a noticable haze made its way up through the Pass and by 9AM and I decided to head home. Thanks for the look.
