Everett over the weekend
Author: sd40nut

Went looking for the site for the old Northern Pacific depot was located at the foot of Pacific Avenue and Chesnut and  found these 3 BNSF cars in the same area.  My guess is that these cars are on the old lead to the depot but just guessing here.  Any ideas on if I was close?  Thanks.

Here is 3 more shots - my guess is that the depot was once located where the curvy 15 MPH sign is...but again just guessing.  The last 2 shots shows the cars on the siding and then the end of the track looking to the south.

Can't speak about where the NP depot once was but in my
time around these tracks the geometry train is tied up on what
was the Milwaukee running track that connected on its east end
with the siding at Lowell and on the west end, just out of your view in
pics 1 and 3, with what is called the "C-line". Today it is only about 6 cars long.
The "C-Line begins at PA Jct. and continues northward beyond your photo area
passing Delta Yard, Bridge 37 over the Snohomish river and on to Canada.
In earlier times the Milwaukee had a roundhouse somewhere around this area
but I could never locate it in my comings and goings.
