Museum staff and docents were eager to answer any and all questions. And the Robert W. Richardson Library is fabulous.
Definitely worth visiting! -John Date: 05/23/16 14:39 Re: Colorado Railroad Museum Author: nycman I haven't visited there for many years. Looks like a lot has been added, including the roundhouse. Chris, do they still have a fantastic display and amount of books and magazines for sale?

Date: 05/23/16 19:27 Re: Colorado Railroad Museum Author: CZ10 The vista-dome monument pictured is a recreation of the monument that once stood in
Glenwood Canyon along side of the highway. The model car on the monument is the original model used for that monument. It was removed sometime during the 1960's (or 70's) due to fears of vandalisim. The rest of the monument was reconstructed on museum grounds to match the original. Aside from the large collection of used out-of-print books for sale in the shop, the museum also holds an annual mail auction of books. You can contact them and be placed on the list for the auction catalog. Date: 05/23/16 20:56 Re: Colorado Railroad Museum Author: Jbarton It was nice meeting you Chris. Thanks for coming out to the museum and posting your photos. Here's a few I took.
