Trip Review--Day 3 . . .
Author: SCKP187

West out of Denver the morning of the 14th turned out to be thick fog around Rocky and Blue Mtn Rd and Tunnel 1 the visibility was down to nearly 100ft so I missed any shots there and moved up the hill above the bad weather.
1.     Amtrak #5 at Pinecliffe as the fog clears led by 48 (blemish above windshield)and 125
2.     With Pacific Sunset bringing up the markers.
3.     Not much activity at Bond, UP 8979 waiting for a crew
4.     With the crew not called, I had time to wait on a westbound and also discover Radium CO, shortly thereafter the eastbound UP 8979 MRONY had departed Bond and rounded the curve into Radium
5.     The MRONY DPU disappears into Tunnel 42 at the east end of Radium.
6.     Later that night at Phippsburg--coal trains both directions--perhaps I can catch the empty one on the way to Craig tomorrow.

Nice series Brian! I like that Pullman bringing up the rear on #5.

Nice catch on the PV. Looks like a fun trip you all have had. Great scenery.
