Thinking someone would already have this posted,I did not get all the details.
The train hit a cow carrier and torn it in half.Only deaths were a few cows.
Don't know where or when,sorry.

A 'cow carrier' ?  Up here in cattle country we call them cattle trailers. The truck drivers are a bit over excited about them and usually call them 'bull wagons' and it is rare to never that they haul bulls. Of course the drivers also think their trailers are much longer than they actually are.

That'll teach them to remove 'cowcatchers' from engines.

Not the first time a special has hit a cow.    It is amazing how much damage a single cow wandering around under a train doing 70+ can do.   And not just one or 2 cars, shit torn up 6 cars back.    Hamburger, hide and mist stuffed and sprayed into and on top of everything and in places you didn't know existed - or can find.  Then there is the smell after a day or 2.   Ah, the glamorous life of a business car mechanic.

A friend hit a loaded trailer at Bazar, Ks a few years back. He was on Z train doing 70. Killed about 35 head outright, cut the truck in half, knocked the windshield out, filled the cab with cow parts & juice. Both treated & released. The driver had just got a 2 million accident free safety pin, he was uninjured.
