Can anyone help with research on this number?  This is the damaged locomotive (#9503) at Metroports in the Long Beach harbor.  This number was obtained from the buffer above the coupler.  Thank you for your help.

It was intact as of yesterday and nothing will occur for at least a while.  Thank you SD452XR for your help.

Thanks for that.  There had been indications that Metro's 9503 wasn't ex-ATSF 9503, but I couldn't pin down just which one it was.  What kind of damage has it suffered?

ATSF 9503 went to Brazil. Its now MRS Logistica 3730.

It was cornered.  The right rear step area is gone, the radiator is ruptured, the cooling fan shaft has been cut to allow the shaft to rotate, the carbody behind the electrical compartment is twisted diagonally and moved forward from the force of the collision, the prime mover suffered an impact sufficient to tear several of its mounts loose.  Everything has shifted to some degree.  Before that they ran it into the coal unloader and knocked in the number boards/headlight area.  The rear suffered similar damage before and was repaired.

Sounds like that place is a crass act.
