BNSF 3797 at Old Keenbrook
Author: oyw

A couple of weeks ago on June 18th, I made my annual hike back to "Old Keenbrook" in Cajon Pass. Located at MP 66 on the Cajon Sub, access to this secluded area has become difficult due to the thick growth of vegetation and morning photo opportunities for eastbound trains are difficult due to the sun angle except for on the longest days of the year, when the sun has moved far to the north. On this morning I witnessed a mixture of eight very oridinary BNSF and UP trains from 7 to 8:30AM, all moving eastbound. Instead of posting a bunch of repetitious shots as I have in years past, I think this single photo gives a pretty good representation of what the area looks like as one of BNSF's newer Tier 4 GE's 3797 and four more units including a Citirail, lead a stack train up through this somewhat "different" looking area of the Pass.

Thank you for looking.

OYW
