Went to Cresco IA for a concert but did a little railfanning as well.

1. UP Job 82 at the south end of Flint(Mason City)

2. Got one of the Iowa Traction Motors parked near the UP interchange in Mason City

3 CP B41 gets ready to head west on the Mason City Sub to Spencer IA. Nice set of power too!

4, Going east at Nora Springs, we find the Iowa Northern. They were about to shove onto the CP, and go west to Garner, then up to Forest City with 47 empty CH.

5. I Spent the night in New Hampton, whrere the CGW once crossed the MILW. Here we find CP 472 at New Hampton. Whos railroad is this??

6. On Sunday I ventured to Marquette IA and Prairie Du Chien, WI. Both roads dealt with mudslides the day before, CPs was south at MP 89 and BNSF was around Potosi.

Here we have CP 813 coming into Marquette. The crew will take this train to River Jct and hand it off to a Portage WI crew.

7 and 8

Been meaning to try this shot. Here is a HGALNTW with 11 units and a UCXRALL with a CEFX going west past Fraziers Tap there in Prairie Du Chien. These two were a part of 7 trains the 90 min I was there.

9. Back across into Iowa, CP475 is at MP 101 as it heads north towards St. Paul

10. A parked CP 472 or 478 is sitting east of Rudd, Iowa. Waiting for Marquette to clear out.

11. And a final train, a UP Southbound Grain train at the south end of Buckeye Iowa on the old Rock Island Short Line. Friendly crew too!
