A storm was approaching Union Station while I was photographing New York Central Swift Stream, and I was fortunate to catch a lightning bolt! By the time I packed my gear back in the car, it started to sprinkle in big drops. By the time I got on the highway (i-35), it became a downpour. Author: aehouse The last time I saw Swift Stream was in Whitehall, New York, during the wee small hours of a summer night in 1970, when it was assigned to the Montreal Limited on the Delaware and Hudson. Good to see that it's still around.
(In the photo, the Swift Stream is the first car behind the baggage car, only just discernible in the picture. It was followed by a former NYC 10/6 sleeper and two of D&H's ex-D&RGW 52 seat coaches.)
