UP Columbia (WI) Coal train
Author: commissioner

Good evening, would anyone know what the symbol for the UP coal trains to Columbia, WI are. I know what they are on the CP but was wondering what they were on the UP. TIA

CBTWC (from Black Thunder)  and CCDWC (from Cordero) are two of them. Coal may come from other mines also.  UP turns these over to the DM&E at Clinton, IA where they then head north to La Crosse, WI.

"WC" should be West Clinton.  Train does head north to La Crosse on
the CP, then to Portage, crew change at La Crosse, or maybe La Crescent.
