7. Westbound at Seneca, NE.  This is where the real world switches from Central to Mountain Time.  Back when the Pioneer Zephyr was new and this line had very few trains  Seneca  was a crew change point on the Q.

Thank you, Bob, for the trip down memory lane.  I worked on BN rail relay gangs in '77, '78 and '79. We worked on trackage from Greenwood, NE to Alliance, Nebraska City to Lincoln, Alliance to Sterling, CO and Sterling to Madrid, NE.  I passed through the territory you photographed last year on the way to watch the BNSF on Crawford Hill. Your photos capture the vistas of the Sandhills  very well.

Do you remember the car initials from the last photo?  Looks like it might be our train from Muscatine Power and Water (MPWX).

The Sand Hills of Nebraska can provide some wonderful scenes for a railfan with a camera.  You can easily get hooked on the area in a short time. Thanks for sharing some great "keeper" photos.
