Western Railroad Discussion > NS Wylie yardDate: 07/27/16 15:13 NS Wylie yard Author: KB5WK This is supposed to be a KCS yard at Wylie Texas. What happened? Wow! So many NS engines and the Nickel Plate. on Tuesday 07/26/2016
Date: 07/27/16 15:16 Re: NS Wylie yard Author: tomstp That is a lot of engines to be in that yard. I have often wondered how many units NS has off line. Seems like they are everywhere on BNSF and UP, now KCS.

No railroad yard ever looks that neat and clean. Where are all the oil and grease spills, the piles of scrap, and the graffitti stained equipment. This facility is not in active service!

Brian Stevens Date: 07/27/16 16:24 Re: NS Wylie yard Author: florida581 I bet KCS has to use more of their own power for all the Texas reroutes. That means more NS pool power from the Atlanta trains.
